Yes, We Are On a Mission
In 2011 one year after opening our marketing firm, RSM’s leaders attended a passionate speech delivered by Jim Clifton, CEO of Gallup. His point: after the Great Recession, more businesses are closing than are opening, that we all need to encourage and help entrepreneurial businesses.
And since then, RSM has done everything it can to create a business model for entrepreneurial-minded businesses of all sizes and categories. Our goal has been to make professional marketing talent, tactics and technologies accessible to America’s middle market companies. And it’s working.

Who Do We Hire? Stunning Colleagues?
We prefer business school grads and degrees. Or English. Or history. Anthropology. Psychology. This team needs strategic planners and excellent communicators with aspiring business acumen, project management, and analytical thinking. Experienced professionals should have worked around the country in diverse and challenging career moves.
We require skilled professionals who are exceptionally curious, especially regarding A/B testing and the creative deployment of online material within social, SEO, SEM, more. Experienced professionals should have online marketing agency experience or bring something interesting to the equation, such as having direct relationships or employment history with Google, Facebook, Yahoo, more. This team hires broadly from many skill sets, to include public relations.
We seek professionals who are excellent in both design and web development. However, team members are also deploying advanced marketing technologies, so be prepared to run online software applications, too. The creative team also hires copywriters who should be adept at strategic branding, ad concepts, as well as long and short-form writing.
Other teams hiring regularly include the Hydraulic Studio video/photography team and our Consumer Research Council.

Values Come Before Skills
Because of the diversity of RSM’s clients around the country, RSM requires an exceptional “hospitality quotient” from all team members. Because all of us communicate regularly with clients who come from different backgrounds, regional cultures (and accents) and expectations, team members must have a higher-than-usual hospitality and emotional quotients and be prepared to serve, both clients and one another.
All of us work hard and play hard. The standard is being a “stunning colleague” in what you do.
